Optimist International Junior

This week I participated in the Optimist International Junior Golf Championships. My four round total was 296, good for a 2oth place finish.

The first round was played at the PGA National Palmer course where I had a 73. I followed that up with rounds of 72, 74, 77 at the Champion Course which is the home of the famous Jack Nicklaus "Bear Trap", known as the hardest 3 scoring holes on the PGA Tour. This year these three holes were played a combined 234 strokes over par during the Honda Classic. The Champion course is home to the PGA Tour's Honda Classic and it is a former venue for both the PGA Championship and the Ryder Cup. I enjoyed the week very much, especially making 15 birdies on a true championship layout.
