This week I competed in the AJGA Elbit Systems of America Junior Golf Classic at Southern Oaks Golf Club in Fort Worth, Texas • June 23-25th.

I finished 17th with scores of 68-77-76= 221.

The weather, I mean the heat proved to be quite a factor as the temperatures ran above 100 degrees each day. It was 104 degrees the second day when I teed off at 2:00pm. Overall, the tournament was a lot of fun and now the old saying of staying cool in the heat of competition has a whole new meaning.

The PARS Junior World Qualifying tournament was held at Tapatio Springs Golf Resort in Boerne, Texas this week. The good news is I was glad to be able to play in the tournament as the defending champion.

I played well and finished second at even par with rounds of 72-72=144.

The tournament founder and director Brian Rous was not able to attend the event this year because his wife is thankfully recovering from a very serious fall. Please pray for a speedy recovery for Mrs. Rous.
